The Journey so far…
It all started with IPI’s first project, which was to optimize an email messaging infrastructure. The client had three locations in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja. Therefore, IPI Solutions built the data center at the Headquarters in Lagos and connected the other two sites in Abuja and Port Harcourt to access their email application residents. This resulted in an increased productivity of the customer’s organization and also saved cost, created a faster response time and secured the communication environment.
But the journey so far hasn’t been an easy one. One of the challenges that IPI Solutions faced was its focus on the Microsoft platform. This meant that it was shutting down some of the opportunities with other computing industries. But Garba II’s dedication has made the company grow to new heights today.
“Our focused approach is supposed to be an opportunistic one,” he says. But, initially, it had shortened the revenue stream leading to slow revenue growth. “However, it turns out that focusing on a particular platform gives you the opportunity to build competency and capacity over the years making you stand out among your peers,” explains Garba II. “When it comes to Microsoft Solutions, we believe we are the best in the industry so far.”
And the response from the clients has been overwhelming with positivity for the company so far. However, IPI Solutions recognized the shifting trend in the technology landscape and swiftly adapted its service model with a cloud-oriented approach. Today, the company is fully positioned to give proper cloud services in 39 Sub-Sahara African countries within the jurisdiction of a Microsoft CSP partner.

Meet the Forerunner
Adamu Garba II is the founder and CEO of IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited. Born to Islamic scholar parents, he attended the Almajiri school system in his early childhood. He was raised in a rural setting where fetching firewood and fishing with other kids in the neighborhood was a daily routine. Much later, he proceeded to Kano State University of Technology, Wudil to study Electrical Engineering as he wanted to learn about a practical field.
Garba II got rusticated from the University at 300 level, after a riot broke out, although he was away to attend a laboratory practice at Bayero University, Kano. He joined NIIT Kano in 2005 to continue his education. He studied the Microsoft Systems and technology under its MSCE programmed. He had various stints working in several industries ranging from IT to oil and gas for 2 years. Later, he capitalized on his knowledge of Microsoft solutions and finally created his own firm.
