Today on our blog post I would like to share with you some recent updates to Microsoft Office 365. As Microsoft continues to update the Office 365 management some new features have been added to increase productivity.

New features on Office 365.

1. Azure Active Directory Administrative Units.

One of the recently added features to Office 365 is the support for “Azure Active Directory Administrative Units”

This update of Office 365 management experience to make it more efficient for you to manage Office 365. To enable you to better delegate permissions, support for “Azure Active Directory Administrative Units” was added to the main Office 365 admin center. This will allow scoped administrator accounts to use the Office 365 Admin center and only see and manage users within their assigned scope(s).

2. Office 365 Message Encryption Capabilities.

As part of Microsoft’s integrated information protection investments, some rich new capabilities have been added to Office 365 Message Encryption that protects and control your sensitive emails.

These enhancements are aimed squarely at helping you better safeguard your sensitive email communications without hampering the ability for your users to be productive and to easily collaborate with those inside or outside of your organization.

At a high-level, the new enhancements include:

  • Helping you lower the risk of accidental or malicious data loss by making it easier for your users to protect and read sensitive emails.
  • Enabling non-Office 365 recipients of protected emails to read and respond with ease, regardless of the device, app, service, or identity they use to receive their email.

Additionally, Office 365 Message Encryption will support customer-managed keys, to help meet their compliance needs.

3. Office 365 Groups.

Office 365 classification is now available when creating or modifying a group across apps.

Selecting a Group classification can be done when creating or editing a group across the following Office 365 applications: Outlook, SharePoint, Planner, Teams, Yammer, and StaffHub.
