From a previous post on EMS, we focused on Microsoft Intune, we now know that Microsoft Intune is a cloud service that provides mobile device management, mobile application management, and PC management capabilities and we know that is basically a tool that allows employees to work from anywhere and everywhere with their mobile devices while still protecting company data. On today’s post, we would revisit one of our publication on Azure Rights Management Service, the last tool/ service available on EMS. Azure Rights Management (RMS) is an information protection solution for organizations that want to protect their data.
What is Azure Right Management?
Azure Rights Management (RMS) is an information protection solution for organizations that want to protect their data.
RMS are comprehensive encryption, identity, and authorization policies designed to secure corporate files and emails across phones, tablets, and PCs. Cloud technology is changing the way we run businesses, employees work from anywhere and everywhere with their personal devices. This flexibility creates challenges for organizations. What if an employee shares important information with a competitor? The challenge is how to keep your information away from prying eyes. This problem is solved with tools like RMS.
RMS uses identity and authorization policies along with encryption to allow users to open files outside the organization with any device while still ensuring that only the authorized user gets access to these files. Information can be protected both within your organization and outside your organization because that protection remains with the data, even when it leaves your organization’s boundaries.
Watch the video below to get a more visual understanding of RMS.
